When we left for other reasons to ATT several years back I don't recall we had a long outage.
We coordinated with Sonic and ATT for the handover. I recall we continued using the Sonic (resold ATT fiber X1) line until we received the gateway from ATT. We called ATT to ensure the line was active, swapped gateways and we were up.
We then called Sonic to cancel and they prorated our account. I don't recall if we sent the old gateway to Sonic or ATT.
And come when we cancelled ATT last month they couldn't prorate our account. "You paid for the complete month already."
