I need a static IP for restricted SSH access to a remote server. Basically user/pass combinations are bad, as well as RSA SSH keyfiles.
The remote end is creating firewall rules to only allow access from "my" IP. I just switched from Comcast Business, and then called in to get a static IP, regardless of $$, and was told,
Any word on if Sonic supports a business level of fiber? I don't need the "nines" of uptime, just a static IP.

.... I get that this is definitely a "you get what you pay for", but static IPs seem like an easy "add-on". I don't see how in the world of networking, locking down a few IPs is outside the scope of the infra.our infrastructure is not set up to support static IPs
